Massage Therapy

Massage is one of the oldest natural healing methods in the world, with roots in a wide range of cultures. Generally, massage refers to the manipulation of layers of muscle and connective tissue to increase circulation, enhance function and promote relaxation and well-being. Target tissues may include muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments, skin, joints, lymphatic vessels and visceral organs. In modern times massage has evolved to include over 80 distinct modalities and has become a significant complement to mainstream health care.

The massage therapists at the Radiant Body are highly skilled and practice a variety of modalities including Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Massage, Sports Massage, Reiki, Hot Stone Massage, CranioSacral Therapy, and Specific Injury Treatment. All Radiant Body massage therapists are licensed in Washington State and uphold the highest ethical standards in providing client care.

Reflexology

Reflexology is an art and a science that views the feet, hands, and ears as mini-maps representing the entire body. Reflexology is an effective, touch-based modality in which specific thumb and finger techniques are used to stimulate “reflexive” points. In this manner, a Reflexology session can provide deep relaxation, improve circulation, and create overall stress reduction in a gentle and non-invasive way. (more)

Counseling

Counseling is essentially the application of inquiry, awareness, and compassion to life's difficulties, relationships, and family problems. It can be practiced with teens, adults, couples, and families. Let's face it, there are no right answers to life's important questions. But we want one, and with counseling we are guided toward our ability to find the answers that are right for us. Each of us has the capacity to continually develop skills, let go of old patterns, and grow in our zest for life. By gently looking at our thought, emotions, and sensations in the therapeutic relationship, we can discover, understand, and let go of old family and social rules that inhibit our growth and create the life we want to live. This can be done on the individual level and in relationship with others. With effective counseling, no matter the obstacle, each of us can find our own right answers, the natural results of which are growth, health, love, and happiness.

Each of us has struggles that we deal with every day. Often these challenges add up to something that we need another person’s help with, if only just that they listen. If you are feeling isolated or stuck you know this is a scary place.

When we don’t feel safe and secure, we act, feel, and think in ways that are extremely painful.

In our work together you and your loved ones will find the resources, perspective, and skills that you need to get past whatever is blocking safe and loving connection. Get in touch today to discuss how we can help you get back on track to living the life you want.

Developing secure connections with others can help us find the solid ground we are all looking for in life and in ourselves. Once these needs are met, many symptoms lessen and disappear. Whether you or someone you love is experiencing the physical, emotional, or mental pain of disconnection, take a step toward sustainable relief, call or email today to set up a free consultation.
